Aurora R6, pump failure and possible replacements
Currently, it seems like my water cooling system for my Aurora R6 is not working (as it says pump failure on startup). Also, my fans inside seem to try to compensate for this issue as when I am using the pc they become VERY loud. It seems like I'll have to replace the water cooling, is there a way I can get the same Alienware stock water cooling system without a warranty? Or is there any air/water cooling I can buy that will work with this model of Aurora? Also, atm my highest temps for my CPU are reaching in the high 90s.

I think the pumps are pretty comparable in performance.
The Nidec fan moves more air, is thicker, but is also noisier.
The only thing with the Corsair H60 is the hoses are pretty long so you need a wraparound install.

Would you say they both perform the same or is one better than the other? I can expect the Alienware water cooling system to last a good amount of time since what happened to mine is the first instance of it stop working since getting my Aurora R6 in 2017. So if the H60 performs better I might grab that since it looks cheaper if not bought on Ebay (not a big fan of it really).

Corsair H60 hoses wraps around pump, reducing airflow some

The Corsair H60 also fits and has basically the same dimensions as the OEM radiator, longer hoses, and both have an Asetek pump. You can reuse the oem Nidec fan if you want

You can buy the part on ebay (approx $50) or from Dell (109 last I checked).
It is part number MHOHN

If you got the Corsair H60 (2018) version with SATA power from the PSU you will need to connect the AIO tach cable (3-pin connector; one wire) to the FAN_CPU mobo header.

Hey there friend, so I recently swapped out stock AIO with corsairs h60 and I am having an error that pops up saying CPU fan failure, I was curious since the Corsair H60 is a 3prong for the AIO and the Alienware one was an AIO with a 4 prong would that be a reason for a CPU fan failure on the start up? I mean after I press f1 it starts up fine but just curious why plugging the Corsair on in causes a CPU fan failure when it’s not even a CPU FAN, it’s a liquid cooler.
I see you swapped yours out as well curious if you got the same issue and if so what you did to get passed that? Thank you for your time man
