Aurora R7, HDD caddy

Hi guys,

does anybody know the part number for the HDD caddy for the Alienware Aurora R7 ?

for the 3.5 inch drives

and the 2.5 inch drives

as I’ve misplaced mine thanks

one more question I have the modular PSU where do I source the modular cables for the extra 2.5 inch drive bays ?

Check that you don't have a spare in the metal box behind the PSU.  

If not, split and extend the one currently going to your 3.5" HDD.

Hi thanks for the reply I didn’t have a spare one

 

so I’ve ordered a cable from eBay as they use the same ones as Corsair from what I can tell and pin out

i have a data power cable that came today and it’s wired in the correct way and it does work perfectly

Just keep in mind that you cannot (should not) mix cables from different PSUs, especially Dell OEM to Corsair.  

I was talking about a SATA power cable splitter for an existing cable on your PSU.  It connects to your existing OEM dell cable and splits one SATA into two SATA power connectors (or more). That's fine, no issues.   It's standard and only a couple bucks.  But plugging a Corsair cable into the back of an OEM Dell PSU, that's not a good idea.
