Aurora R7, Problems using AWCC
I'm having 4 issues with AWCC:
(1) AWCC OC in windows is overclocking my system to 4.6 on custom profile settings that I didn't add or create. I've never even created an OC profile in AWCC! And not OC'ed at the canned Level 1 and Level 2 settings programmed by Dell. But to custom settings. What it looks like in bios:
What AWCC looked like when I closed it the second time:
Both times, when I closed AWCC, overclocking was disabled. That brings me to my second issue.
(2) I have XMP enabled in bios on Kingston Hyper X Fury 2933MHz 64GB ram. In windows, the first time, I clicked on the OC tab of AWCC, it shows XMP disabled. I thought that odd, so I clicked OC stage 1 to see what would happen, it asks for restart, I clicked later, XMP was still disabled and no option to enable, then I clicked OC stage 2, it shows XMP enabled and no option to disable, so I returned it back to OC disabled and closed out of AWCC. I restarted to check if XMP was enabled or disabled in bios, and the screen was completely blank for 1 or 2 minutes and I missed the F12 window as I was too busy freaking out and checking the cord on my monitor. When I got back to windows, XMP was now disabled, my RAM was down clocked to 2666MHz, and CPU was overclocked to 4.6GHz, on a custom setting. This has happened twice, OC'ed again on a custom setting. What is going on with AWCC? That brings me to my third issue.
(3) I set custom fan curves so that the 2 fans on my AIO never go below 30% (don't get me started on WHY I NEED to do this, as it will only get me mad at Dell all over again). The problem, AWCC will not load my custom thermal fan control profile on startup. AWCC uses the default setting until I actually click on the AWCC icon. Several seconds after AWCC loads, my fan profile will kick in. I also set the temp monitoring icons to show on the desktop, and they also will not show until after I manually click on AWCC. Why doesn't AWCC auto load my custom profile, and what can I do to get it to auto load on startup? (I've already added commandcenter to windows startup and it shows as a startup app on task manager).
(4) Is there any way to adjust the fan settings directly in bios? Or, alternatively, to control all 3 fan headers in AWCC (top, front, cpu). AWCC only allows for top and front fan headers, but not CPU control, when an AIO is plugged into the pump header. I put a fan on my VRM heatsink. Connected it to the CPU header, it will work fine in a pre-windows environment, but as soon as windows kicks in, AWCC will cut power to the CPU header, when an AIO is connected to the pump header. I ended up having to Y split the VRM fan to my front fan and it works that way (I have a separate Y for the 2 fans on the AIO to the top fan header). But I would like a separate windows control for the VRM fan so that I can plug it into the CPU header instead of linking it's performance to my front fan. But AWCC cuts power to the CPU fan header in windows because I have an AIO in the pump header.

So I sort of rambled. To summarize my 4 issues:
(1) If I touch anything in the OC tab, AWCC will custom overclock my CPU to 4.6, even though I return AWCC to OC disabled before closing out the program. And I've never created a custom profile or touched that tab. Is this a known error in AWCC or just me?
(2) AWCC shows my Ram as XMP disabled, whereas BIOS shows XMP enabled (profile 1). Why is this different?
(3) Custom AWCC thermal profiles in AWCC will not load on startup. I have to click on the AWCC icon before custom thermal profiles (i.e., custom fan curves) will load. How can I fix this to auto load?
(4) is there a way to change the fan curve in BIOs? Or, alternatively, to manually adjust in AWCC all 3 of the Top, Front, and CPU fan headers in AWCC? I have an AIO in the pump header, and because of this the CPU fan header gets disabled in the windows environment by AWCC (although the CPU fan header works in a pre-windows environment so windows will load without triggering a Dell SupportAssist fan error when a fan is connected to the CPU fan header, the fan just stops working in windows when AWCC default settings kick in).
