What type of motherboard does the Alienware Aurora R7 have and where can I find the specifications to see the compatible card sizes?

Also, can you have a look at this card to see if it is compatible? MSI GeForce RTX 3070 .

That card is 282 mm, 3 mm longer than 11”.  not sure if you can fit in R7.

you can look through a list of validated 3070 models in R7 and find one available in your country/region.  I took a quick look at the bottom 3 users who used ASUS, msi, and EVGA 3070 respectively.  https://www.userbenchmark.com/PCBuilder?tab=GPU&searchTerm=Aurora%20r7%20rtx3070

All of our motherboards are customized OEM (original equipment manufacturer). Their specifications will not match any retail motherboards.

Our OEM TRDVJ Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti was the best and biggest video card that we validated in the 2017 Aurora R7.
Height: 115.7mm/4.55"
Length: 266.74mm/10.50"
Width: Two slots

Any graphics card will be compatible with your motherboard, as long as it physically fits inside your rig. Look for a graphics card that is less than 272mm long and 120mm tall. The nVidia RTX 3070 Founders Edition will fit with no case modifications.

That MSI graphics card is 124mm tall (4.9 inches) which could be a problem in the Aurora R7.

this card will definitely fit.  It is 232 mm long, shorter than the Dell oem card.

R7 has a microATX board.  It is the R7 case that limits max length of aftermarket gpu to about 270 mm.  user reported 10.6” card fits with a little room left.

For a more in depth discussion on max gpu length and height in R7 this thread has good info https://www.dell.com/community/Alienware-Desktops/Aurora-R7-RTX-3070-card-fitting/td-p/7733715/page/3

User reported “I had the ASUS TUF RTX3070 OC installed and running for over a year without any issues. It does fit without removing or modifying this brace, it did not touch the brace and the cover had no problems closing at all. My card has a height of 126 mm.”
