Aurora R8, adding Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD
My situation is that i got an ssd (Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe) a while ago and upon trying to add (instead of replace) it in I realized that my PC (Alienware Aurora r8) doesn't have any more m.2 slots on the motherboard BUT it does have some sata ssd slots. Is there an adapter that i can buy in order to use it and if so how would i go about installing that? i imagine im kinda pooped here but I wanted to ask just in case

Yes there are add-in cards that support a single NVMe drive.
However, it is sometimes hit and miss with the Alienware systems on how reliable the system sees the drive. Needs a spare PCI-e slot x4 or higher slot.
Adaptor card
If you have USB 3.0 or higher interface available they also make these cards to directly plug into a USB socket, identical to a USB flash drive. They are slower, so the preferred method is the adaptor card above.

Something like this M.2 NVMe PCIe adapter will work in an X4 PCIe slot.
