Aurora R8, GPU (RTX 2060) manufacturer and model?
Alienware Aurora R8
Was curious if anyone had an idea what manufacturer and model Dell used for the RTX 2060 in the Aurora R8? Was thinking about making a back plate to hide the pcb in the new case I migrated over too.

Your RTX 2060 is not an MSI designed graphics card, and not a variant of anything MSI . . . it is Alienware designed, manufactured by MSI to Alienware specifications.

ProfessorW00d is correct. Every video card we provide is OEM (original equipment manufacturer) customized hardware.
We offered four versions of the MSI RTX 2060 on the Aurora R8. Yours was part number 6CTH3. Does the picture below match yours?

I'm pretty sure the graphics cards are Alienware proprietary design manufactured by MSI.

This is the only 6gb single fan msi 2060 I can find so I suppose it must be a variant of this? Although the i/o ports are different so I am not certain

While the Alienware RTX 2060 is a proprietary graphics card, it does adhere to nVidia "Reference Design" as it relates to the PCB. As such, if you were able to find a dead nVidia RTX 2060 or 2060 Super Founders Edition that someone was throwing/giving away, I believe that backplate is compatible with your graphics card. Otherwise, you could fab a backplate out of 1/8th inch cell cast acrylic sheet. You would need a source for some very tiny screws.
