Aurora R8, help diagnosing noise
Hi Everyone,
Would appreciate your thoughts or help on the issue I am having below. I recently received a new Aurora R8 machine (replacement, the last one had an artifacting GPU). Unfortunately, this one seems to have come with some unusual noises. I've put a Google Drive link where you can access the audio recordings.
CPU Noise
I am experiencing the same noise that appears to be coming from the CPU / Cooler area that I experienced on the previous Aurora R8. The easiest way I have found to replicate this is to run the Intel XTU Benchmark.
I'm not sure where this noise is coming from - I have opened up the case to try and listen. It feels like the CPU / Cooler / Motherboard area. While infrequent, I do want to make sure there is not an issue with the machine. Any ideas what might be happening?
High Pitch Whining Sounds from GPU / PSU
From initial testing, there is a serious noise issue in relation to the GPU or PSU. Once put under load, I get variations of a high pitch screeching sound. From reading online, this appears to be coil whine? Several other users of the 2080ti (across all manufacturers) have returned cards due to similar issues. Similarly, I have heard PSU's can also have this issue.
- See attached remaining audio files. In some files, it is hard to capture the high pitch sound, as I am using an iPhone microphone to record. But it can clearly be heard in person.

Any support and help are much appreciated :).

Coil whine is normal. It's present in my 1080 as well.
I haven't had time to listen to your audio recordings so I can't comment on the other noise you mention. But, the Asetek pumps aren't the quietest and can be prone to cavitation noises due to trapped air.

Thanks for getting back to me @amstel78.
Yes, I understand this can happen. However, the noise is too loud at present. At times, it can be heard by my work colleagues on the other side of the room!
I wanted to try and diagnose it first before deciding what exactly to do. The machine is under warranty, so replacement parts is an option.
