Aurora R8, keeps Freezing
My computer has previously been running fine without any issues until the beginning of February. There were a few critical updates from windows and Alienware update which included a bios update. If I am watching videos for too long or playing a game for around 10-15 minutes the computer freezes. The only way to get out of it is to restart the computer. The temperatures have been good even at the time of freezing. Called Dell customer care and they tried to remotely connect to computer but it froze before they could. I tried to use a restore point but the system freezes when I did that.
I have disabled a few programs at startup and only have 3 enabled. SFC and DISM didn't help. Hardware test seems to show no issues. I have Windows 10 and I'm running an i7-9700k with a 2080 super. All drivers are up to date. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It seems that even after the hardware tests initially passed the issues had continued to get worse. The Windows Diagnostic Memory Test started to freeze. So to limit what could be causing the issue I ran Memtest86 from usb and that froze as well. I removed one of the memory sticks and ran memtest86 for 4 passes with no errors. I also ran sfc/scannow again which now fixed some corrupted files. The computer freezing has stopped and I'm not having any installations immediately close after trying to install them.
Will post if the issues arise again but for now it seems to be working properly. Thanks again to everyone who responded.

same issue here, totally cannot play any games, I am thinking about to DIY a PC now with a stable motherboard...
By the way, I have the power button issue after updating the BIOS as well...

Luckily I have not had the power issue.

I have had different critical events depending on the day. The following have appeared: Killer DBWM, AWCC, Windows, msiexec.exe, systemsettings.exe, Microsoft Management Console, Windows Image Acquisition (WIA), KillerIntelligenceCenter.exe, Alienware Command Center. I would say 90% of the time it is either Killer DBWM or AWCC.

"I removed one of the memory sticks"
Did you test that memory stick by itself?
Did you swap the two sticks into other slots?
This Aurora R8 shipped with two of =

I did swap the sticks out and the computer started freezing up pretty quick. I only tried slots 2 and 4. I have not been using the HyperX memory that came with the computer. I upgraded to Patriot Viper Steel 2x16GB 3200MHz memory as that was what I read to be the highest speed rated for the motherboard.

Yikes !
Yeah, it should have been fairly clean.
No, I didn't know you have been playing with memory upgrades, or I would have also suggested returning it to it's original Dell memory config.
Good troubleshooting with MemTest86 though. As you found out, if your memory is not quite right, it will definitely find it. If a system can run it's long-test twice in a row without problems, then I can finally say it's memory is "100% good".
