Aurora R8, stopped working

Greetings Alienware Community, I have had some issue with my Alienware Aurora R8 recently. This happened out of the blue. What happened was I went to turn on my PC and it booted like normal. When I went to turn on my monitor however, there was no input. As well as the power button on the Computer was flashing 8 times color1, color2, color8) in different colors (wasn't the same colors every time). Between each of those flashes, there is a brief period of time in which the alien skull is normal. Additionally, none of my RGB peripherals were lighting up (like normal). Anyone have a fix for this kind of issue? Thanks, Kash81

Hi Vanadiel, If the last flash turns into the rgb again, (color1, color2, ... color8/rgb) does it mean that that one doesn't count?

You will have to count the flashes:

1	System board: BIOS and ROM failure
2	No memory or RAM detected
3	System board or chipset error
4	Memory or RAM failure
5	CMOS battery failure
6	Video card or chip failure
7	CPU failure
3,6	BIOS recovery image not found
3,7	BIOS recovery image found but invalid

Clear CMOS by removing the CR2032 coin cell battery and holding in the power button for 30 seconds (power should be disconnected first, of course). Might as well replace the CR2032 battery with a new one to eliminate that as the issue. Cheapest fix available.

Another question here, how can I only enable the 2 and 4 ram slots on the pc?

Insert RAM modules into only those slots.
