Aurora R9, low FPS, sluggish
I've been having issues with some of my PC games, most notably Skyrim having low FPS. On medium settings I'm getting around 6-7 FPS and on low I'm getting maybe 12. This is with mods installed to optimize and reduce graphics quality to help with this.
My computer memory also seems to be running high pretty consistently regardless if I'm playing a game or not. I'm frequently dealing with freezing programs and slow loading times.
Help ;-;
Windows 10
Processor: Intel Core i5-9400 CPU @ 2.9GHz
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 6GB GDDR6
Hardrive: 1TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s
RAM: 8GB HyperX(TM) FURY DDR4 XMP at 2666MHz
Dark Side of the Moon chassis with High-Performance CPU Liquid Cooling and 460W Power Supply
Edit: Looking at the task manager it looks like my PC is using the onboard graphics instead of the GeForce? Am I reading that right? Would that be causing my issues and how would I fix that?

Here is a better illustration of where your monitor should be plugged into...

As long as your video monitor is plugged into your Nvidia card...either Display Port or HDMI you should be fine.
I can't see your photo yet, there seems to be about a 20 to 30 minute lag time for them to display properly for me, I have no idea why. Anyway, here's a photo showing port locations on your card and also my task manager for comparison.
If you are connected properly to your video card, I would suggest running a anti-virus/malware program like ESET, Symantec/Norton, even Microsoft Defender. Something may be tying up resources.

You need to be plugged into the Display Port connector on the back of your Nvidia Card.
The photos should help, whenever they decide to appear.

I can't see your images yet either, hah. So it's not showing in the image up there, but the Intel(R) UHD Graphics is at about 5% and the GeForce hasn't budged from 0. I replugged my monitor cable into the DisplayPort, but there's only one of those on the back of my computer so I don't see how it can be plugged into the wrong spot, unless there's something going on inside. It looks like my graphics card isn't running at all. Once your images show up I'll take another look.

You were absolutely right, it was plugged into the wrong port lol. I don't know how I never noticed the ports there. And that finally fixed my FPS issue too! I almost cried it was running so smoothly, hah! Thank you! Still having issues with programs being unresponsive but I'll do as you suggest and run a full scan. Thank you again!
