AW2310, unsupported audio format

My screen keeps on sending a pop up with "Unsupported audio format. Please set the audio output on your audio player to Pulse-code modulation (PCM) if available.

I read that I can change it through Nvidia control panel, but it doesn't let me change the Alienware screen one.

Is there any fix to this? The popup doesn't go away.

Go to your Windows system sound properties and set it to the desired format.

I have 2 screens connected with hdmi, and I doubt thats the issue since even unplugging 1st monitor still gives me this issue

I've never seen this problem, however ... if that is a screen-shot from Nvidia Control Panel, why does it show TWO HDMI ports? I didn't think that was even possible.

Yes, HDMI audio is normally Multi-Channel PCM (up around 7.1 Hi-Definition/Hi-BitRate channels). However, it can also handle a Digital Bit-Stream for decoding at external amp/dsp.

What is your:
- Computer make and model
- Windows version

And finally, what video card (or cards) are you using exactly?
