AWCC, constantly asks to alter HDD
Frequently, when I leave to get a cup of joe, I return to see 3-5 pop-ups from windows defender, asking if I'll allow AWCC to make changes to my HDD (the standard warning query). This happens constantly since my last row of updates.

Sounds like you are having Windows permission problems. Have you been messing around with Users or Permissions?
Try uninstalling Alienware Command Center, reboot ... and then clean-install proper version for your machine and Windows version.
Be logged in an a normal user (but one with Admin status).
Download the installer and then un-block it from Windows Explorer ... before using.
Do NOT "run as Admin" ... just run normally to install.
