Check for driver updates without Support Assist

Question

Is there a way to check for driver updates without using support assist? I had to uninstall it, it was bogging down my Area-51 R3. At random, it would start sucking all the available ram.

You can pull drivers and updates for your pc by service tag here: https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us?app=drivers

I checked that page before and I thought Support Assist would still be needed as the moment I type in the service tag it asks the user to download and install Support Assist. Actually, the updates are then listed right below.
