Downlight stops working.

Question

My downlight quits working after a few days.  I have to reset the AlienFX Lighting in the menu once or twice a week to make it work again.  It's quite annoying because I like the light downlight in particular as far as the lighting goes.  The monitor itself is fantastic.  Any help would be appreciated.

Did it work out for you--the touch bar under the alienware logo.  Sometimes fiddling with the joystick you accidentially brush the touch bar and the light goes off.

I am not familiar with what a downlight is. Is this on a monitor?

It's part of the LED lighting on the monitor.

Are you using the AWCC app or the monitor menu to set the lighting.  I find that the monitor menu is better as the AWCC does not save my theme for the monitor.

I’m using the menu in the monitor.  I don’t have the app installed nor usb hooked up to the monitor.

If actually trying to use the bling led lighting on the monitor, I didn't know that was an accepted practice.

There is a touch bar under the alienware label. touch it and the light turns on/off.

Genius...This was driving me mad. It's an undocumented feature, at least I couldn't find it anywhere.
