Hi @GamerdudeForever,

If the system only has 1 video card you could add it, but there is no guarantee that it will work.

Regarding the BIOS: go to advanced > peripherals to disable the on-board audio.

Then the front audio has a yellow header attached to the motherboard, you have to remove it and put it in the sound card.

Hi and thanks for the reply.

"Regarding the BIOS: go to advanced > peripherals to disable the on-board audio."

Im afraid to say there is no such option anywhere in the BIOS on my Aurora R6.  Under advanced there is the usual processor settings for Intel cpu.  Setting for enabling the BIOS recovery from hard drive. Settings to enable/disable the fron and rear usb ports. Then power options, and then lastly Performance which has no options, it is greyed out as my cpu isn't one of the K level Kabylakes.  It seems as if maybe there are items somehow hidden in the BIOS that a standard user cannot get access to.  This is the first PC BIOS have ever seen that does not let you have access to onboard chipsets.  Also there is no health option which shows what the real temps and speeds of the fans are from within the BIOS.

I do at the time have only one gpu and do not forsee getting one anytime soon.

So I guess I just put the creative card in one of the free pciex4 slots and hope that it does not conflict with the realtek onboard chipset.  And before doing so I will not know if the front audio header cable will have any slack to it to allow placing on the soundcard's header port.

Other Dells use a Digital cable to the "front panel" you remove from motherboard and use an OEM Creative Sound Blaster Recon3D PCIe  SB1350 / 0DR8F   with the Yellow INTEL Digital Audio connection removed from motherboard and placed on the PCI-E card.   Looks like the Z card also has the Digital Connection.

So is the Alienware Aurora 6 supposed to have a disable option in the bios for the onboard Realtek chipset?  I looked again and there simply is no options or listings for onboard chipsets or peripherals in my bios.  Is there a certain key you press on the keyboard to reveal more hidden settings?  This is the only thing stalling holding me back from placing my card in my pc.  I do not want conflicts between two sound card/chipsets.
