not connected to an nvidia GPU

I just received an AURORA R7 with a 1070ti GPU.

I have connected the new monitor I bought. It is an S2716DG.

When I try to use the NVIDIA control panel, I get the message "you are not currently using a display connected to an NVIDIA GPU".

I received 3 cables with the monitor. A typical HDMI cable, a cable that I believe is used to activate the USB ports on the monitor and another cable that looks somewhat similar to an HDMI cable which I believe is a DP cable (whatever that is).

I plugged the DP cable into the PC and monitor. I also have the cable that enables the USB ports plugged in.

Not sure what else I need to do.

Connect the DisplayPort cable from the monitor to the Aurora-R7 . Be sure you are using a DisplayPort on the Nvidia GTX-1070ti card itself (towards the bottom of case).

If you have all that and still get that message, it might have something to do with G-Sync tech (not sure, I don't use it).

Hi @martinc31415,

This message usually appears when the monitor is connected to the on-board card (top half of the system), so as per Tesla says, make sure you're connecting the monitor to the Nvidia card at the bottom.
