R11 Bios update Through Windows Optional updates
Alienware Aurora R11
Well, I didn't have my glasses on at the time and I went to Windows Update to see if there was any updates which was not at the time and I usually check for Optional updates as well and I knew there was a Bios 1.0.15 in there for awhile, I'm on 1.0.11 I usually do not do Bios updates through Windows and do it through via Flash drive and f12. But I accidently hit Download , and the flash Window came up fast and started the flash my Bios from 1.0.11 to 1.0.15 I was totally scared like reall y scared ! at my mistake I just did But ... But everything actually went well with no issues and I'm now on the latest R11 Bios through the Windows Optional download section. Whew !!! Something has changed for the better with Bios updates now ... you think ?

Are you sure it's the bios or is it the system firmware update (firmware in device manager)?
Because usually (for my R10) it's the firmware that comes from the windows optional update.

Also I do other Alienware firmware updates through windows optional but never did a bios update in there because of the issues in the pass that caused a lot issues updating bios that way at least from what I have read. As said I always flash bios with a flash drive and F12 as Dell Care told me too.

There you go, now you can update to 1.0.16 via the tried and true method of USB and F12; and enjoy that relaxing feeling of updating the BIOS outside of Windows.

It's not, the screen shot you posted of your monitor shows the BIOS being flashed.
The firmware never seems to be able to keep up to the version changes in the BIOS, but all that matters is that the computer works without problems. As Steadler mentioned, the windows optional update will eventually update the system firmware...when it gets around to it.
