Switch the PSU

Question

I was trying to siwtch the PSU and find some issues. I noticed there is one black thin power connector (USB size) inserted into a socket at near the top inside of the front panel. I'm not sure what it is and for, my 600W EVGA PSU does not have this type of connector. Anyone knows what is that and do I must plug it in? IF then, which PSU can be purchased that can plug in this kind of socket.

Hard to say without a picture. Maybe there is one in Google that you can link to?

Strange that you are swapping a Power-Supply, but can't tell what it is for. My guess is that it's for the optical drive.

The old Alienware General area has pics of that and also post of users that have successfully installed after-market PS in Aurora R5/R6.
