Hello Thanks for reply. Unfortunately the bios doesnt recognise it either. Cmos reset maybe?

hi still doesn't work? Any advice - only has 2 slots for ram would this be an issue?

No, having only 2 slots is not an issue. Here is the information for supported RAM in this system:

Memory Type:

Support for DDR3 Memory (Non-ECC only) 1600MHz
Supports 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB DIMMS

Memory Min/Max:

Minimum: 4GB, Maximum: 16 GB
4GB (2x2GB)
6GB (1x4GB + 1x2GB) 
8GB (2x 4GB) 
16GB (2 x 8GB)

 

This issue could also be related to compatibility. 

For further help you can always call our out of warranty department at 866 287 6727 opt#4 for more options.

Still not working - I'm on BIOS A12 i think this is the latest.

Next is to try different RAM i suppose before a more expensive method.

Strange issue though because they both work fine just not at 8gb a piece.
