Alien ware x51 beep code
I have a x51. warranty ended in July. Anyway here's what's happening. I've been at college, and just came home for thanksgiving. My desktop has been turned off and unplugged for about 3 weeks, I was also home for fall break a few weeks back. Computer worked fine then. Today when I start it up I'm getting a beep code and it will not boot all the way up. I'm getting a single beep over and over, with from what I can tell no interruption in the beeping. Does this sound like a motherboard issue or something else? I have tried a power drain, with no luck.

Maybe test/replace your on-board 3volt coin-cell battery; if you do it fast enough w/a new one your bios settings might not change. A batt that is about 2.35volts or above (2.5v or better is what you want) is usually 'good', 2.35v or below needs replaced now or soon.
