Alienware 13 Google Chrome Touchpad Issues
First off, the touchpad works fine in all other applications/system wide (so far) except Google Chrome.
My synaptics (touchpad) settings have two-finger scrolling reversed (2 finger swipe down moves page down). This works in all other applications except Chrome which for some reason scrolls the page up when swiping down. Also Chrome registers weird touches and the touchpad is all round erratic in Chrome.
Chrome v41.0.2272.118 m and i believe the touchpad drivers are up to date (from the dell drivers website). Also using Alienware 13 non-touch screen version (1080P screen).
Anyone else experiencing this erratic behavior with Chrome and know of a possible solution?

Thanks for the link! From those posts they linked to this site which has a download link to a batch/regedit that adds in the gesture controls from firefox into chrome. This actually worked!! I can now use my trackpad and scroll perfectly without any weird squares or hiccups as expected!
I'm still a little irritated that i had to do this on a brand new machine but at least it is now working.

You can try reinstalling the touchpad driver from the synaptics website, however if the issue persists I will recommend you to contact their support site so they can help you out.

I just purchased this laptop (Alienware 13) with a 1080P non-touch as well and have the same issue. Very frustrating. Everything including IE scroll and respond perfectly except chrome. I found a possible solution via a quick google search and they recommend (as the person on this thread did too) to install the driver direct from Synaptics however they are not signed and require extra effort to install. I did go through this however the driver was not meant to work on our machine so it didn't support scrolling at all. I then re-installed the latest driver from Dell again and still have the same issue. Google will not help with this as it's a driver issue not a chrome issue according to them.
Any ideas Dell/Alienware? I don't like spending 1k and up on stuff that doesn't work completely.

Posts 16 and 18.
As well, seems like the issue is Chrome specific.

Thank you so much. I just bought an AW13 myself and had this issue. Life saver.
