Alienware 13 USB not working
As the title states having issues with my USB 3.0.
Harddrive failed on my alienware 13 so I puchased a new one and installed it. Installed windows 10 as that was the system that was running on my failed HDD. Now having issues with usb 3.0 devices;
USB Flash drives (usb 2.0) and devices such as wireless mouse does work, but my 3.0 external hdd is not visible. Power light on external hdd is on but not seen in device manager or in disk management. It does currently work on my windows 7 laptop.
I uninstalled windows 10 and installed windows 7 on the laptop and noticed it was working. But then when installed new chipset and drivers it stopped working. The driver causing the issue is Intel(R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller.
I have since reinstalled windows 10 on the alienware 13 and would like to be able to get the USB 3.0 working again. Since it was working before is it possible to get an older version of the driver ??
Not sure if that would work but this all worked before my laptop crashed.

Hi,
First try reinstalling the Chipset driver here (restart) and then reinstall the USB 3.0 driver here.
Also make sure the BIOS is up to date here.
Let me know how it goes!
