Alienware 15 r2 black screen after waking from sleep.

System:

i7-6700hq

GTX 980m

16gb ddr4 ram

1tb HDD

So ever since I updated the Bios to version 1.3.9 I have been unable to wake my laptop from sleep mode and all that appears is a black screen the only way to fix this is by holding down the power button.

I updated to version 1.3.10 and the problem is still there and I have tried many fixes found online such as turning hibernate off in the command prompt, updating drivers and changing power options but none of them seemed to work.
