Alienware 18 - Bad PLS LCD

Hello

I've just got my new Alienware 18 and look what i got : You are paying 2000£ and get faulty system. I wonder how that even passed the quality control. Screen has bad backlight bleeding and pinkish stains when you look at it from left and right angle .This is so annoying Have to call Dell and try to resolve it.

Has any one got the same problem ?

Ya, that's pretty bad. Thanks for posting pic. So is that what IPS bleed through looks like when it's LED backlit? Or, do you know what exact screen technology that is?

Oh, never heard of that one, but I try to keep up with the various LCD techs. Not much info on the net about that one, but I did find this:

I'm guessing those are LEDs for the back-lighting. They are either incorrectly lit or maybe too close to the main panel.

Have you decided about returning it or are you going to get it fixed?

I can try to fix it but I don't know if i loose my warranty , the laptop is only week old. Probably Dell will have to send me a new display. I was reading some reviews and loads of people have same problem with Alienware 18
