AlienWare adapter problems
Fairly recently I purchased a AlienWare M17x laptop and it has been running fairly smoothly until recently. Even though I plug in my same adapter I wont charge the laptop but it doesn't lose charge either and when I scroll over the battery symbol it says "plugged in, not charging".
As well as this when I plug in the adapter it says that it is not supported by dell however this is the same adapter that came with the laptop.
Can someone help please?

First thing to try is a new OEM Dell adapter. If that doesn't solve the problem, the mainboard needs repair or replacement.

Before trying that, you can also try a Power drain and a BIOS update. Those 2 things could save some $$$.
