***Alienware Alpha ASM100 Console mode question***
I am currently downloading a game from steam and I want to play Fallout 4 at the same time. Fallout 4 has no multiplayer and I will only be playing singleplayer. I am currently in desktop mode on my Alpha. I am wondering if I could switch to "Console" mode and download said steam game and play Fallout 4 at the same time. Will it affect my FPS(Frames per Second)? Will switching to console mode from desktop mode make a huge difference? Can I do anything else besides play games while in console mode? Please any help would be greatly appreciated. I just created an account here and this is my first post so I apologize if this is posted in the wrong sub-forum. Once again any information will be appreciated. Thank you all and have a great night!

Hi,
Console mode is only meant for playing games. I believe you could do both at the same time and it shouldn't affect the FPS. Try it out and let us know how it goes.

I did try and I couldn't find a way for it to work. Thank you though for the response. That lets me know that this community is helpful and I will direct all necessary questions to this website. Thanks again ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

The reason for this is the console mode is a separate login, so when you exit the desktop mode, it logs you out of your account and logs you into console mode. I'm not sure if there is a way to keep one login active while using another the way they have the Alpha set up.
