Alienware Alpha - Crashing and lights flashing yellow
Hi,
I recently purchased an alienware alpha i5 a few weeks ago and recently, about 5 days ago, i started to experience problems. When my system would go to sleep and i would come back to wake it up, the alien head would begin to flash yellow and eventually start. The problem continued and i looked for answers and conducted a power drain which worked. Today, while i was playing a few games on it i noticed that both LEDs on the alpha turned off. I ignored this and continued to play. What happened next was that my alpha's LED started to flash yellow once again. I walked away from it for a few hours and once i returned the system was asleep and the light was flashing yellow again but it wouldn't boot back up. I went to restart it and every time i restarted it the LEDs would be completely shut off but i would hear the internal fan running. After multiple restarts i received an error message from windows right after the alienware boot screen. I didn't catch the error code but it was something along the lines of a page missing. The next page had options to restart the pc or run a manual diagnostic. i went directly for the restart which did not help at all. Im right back where i started with a yellow flashing LED that won't stop even after power drains. The light is also flashing yellow in increments of 5.
Thanks

Hi,
That sounds like a hardware issue, possibly with the motherboard. We recommend sending the system in for repairs. For assistance with this, send me your Service Tag in a PM.
