Hi!

First, make sure is not a video problem. Test the monitor separately to verify it's working, then try using a different cable and video port. 

If you can access the BIOS, try to run an ePSA diagnostic to check for hardware errors. Let me know the results.

My monitor is working, when I start my computer the alienware startup logo pops up before it blackscreens

Also my brother ran a BIOS on my computer and said that all my parts were functioning fine aswell

although the problem has progressed worse so that now when I startup it stays comepletely black

The symptoms indicate a No Boot problem. If the ePSA diagnostic passed with no errors, then the problem could be caused by the OS.

Try re-installing Windows as explained on this video. Once you've installed the OS, make sure to install the drivers in the correct order as explained here.
