Alienware aurora r4 white connector for cpu fan and temp readings missing
Hello, I have recently had issues with my alienware aurora r4's fan noise and temperatures. Alienware command center seems to be functioning , except for the fact that it constantly gives me the 0 degrees, 0 degrees and 65 degrees respectively. I was about to purchase a new liquid cooling system when I opened the case and realized that all of the white connectors for the fans (very top of the case) were connected EXCEPT for two. CPU fan did not have a wire going into it like the other slots. When I look closer, I notice that the Temp Readings slot is empty too. These are the exact problems I have been having! I looked through all of the wiring and could find connectors that would fit the slots.
On an unrelated note, I had a guy install a samsung solid state drive and he did a prettty slap dash job. It is unsecured and only connected to a bunch of wires. WHERE ARE THESE TWO PLUGS? [:@]

So if I understood correctly the CPU fan is not connected because the system is missing the cable?
And maybe can you send and picture of the other thing you are missing because is not that clear.

In the very top interior of the case , there are no wires going into the cpu fan and temp reading next to it. Is this the source of my problem?

No.
Good catch though. I think that video might be inaccurate.
On my machine, the radiator fan is connected to SYS_FAN.
CPU_FAN and Temp Sensor have no connection.
My processor liquid-cooling pump and radiator fan work fine. Three (working) Ambient Temp sensors show in Thermal Controller.

Thank you for the reply. Do you have any ideas about the source of the problem. I downloaded speedfan and ran some diagnostics. In the application, two fans are running around 1300 rpm, and one is running at nearly 4k rpm. I get loud fan speeds on idle. I also get the error message: hard disc skipped because of invalid logsense data. ANy ideas?

Not sure about SpeedFan. All you need is CPUID HW-Monitor (free) and something like Prime95 to stress-test processor to max.
See my Favorites or search forum.
Once you have verified Asetek liquid-cooler is working properly, THEN you can trouble-shoot MIO-Board hardware and matching Command Center software.
Best way to check MIO-Board (first step) is with Dell Diagnostics (outside of Windows).

Do I use those applications to verify that my asteek liquid cooling is functioning? or Is that something I have to do in BIOS or outside of windows?

You can use those programs to check if the fans and the liquid cooling are working properly, HWmonitor to check the fan speed and temperature and Prime95 to stress the processor as Tesla said.
