Alienware Blue Screen

BSOD.jpg

Hi everyone,

Im putting this out here and hopefully will get some answers.  My Alienware Aurora_R3  kept  doing random shut downs with five beeping tones.  Which according to my manual was a Real Time Clock battery failure.   I replaced the battery and now am getting (see above) this blue screem message.

I spent 6 hours and $70 at Fryes to see if they can figure out the problem and all they say is it a software errror and sent it home with me.  I have done a System Restore, which says worked, but am still getting the same Blue Screen Issue.

I am fine with doing a whole system restore, but I really need to do a back up first to make sure I dont lose anything important.

Can you do a system backup while in Safe Mode?  The CD doesn't seem to be working either so I can not use disks.

Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreicated.  I just want to get this back up and running again.

Hi!

Yes, you can use Safe Mode to do a backup of your files on a flash drive or external hard drive.

I'm unable to see the BSOD error because the picture is too small. You can follow the steps on this article to find the BSOD error code and post a reply with the information.
