So when you are using your personal wifi hotspot it works fine correct? Has this happened with other networks as well? There is an option on the wifi driver settings that you can check which may be turning off the wifi to safe power. To check this, go to device manager.
Then double click on your wifi driver (it should show under network adapters). On the window that comes up, look for the "Power Management" tab and in this section you may have an option called "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". If it is checked, uncheck it and test the system to see if it happens again.
