Alienware Fan Constantly Loud While Charging.

Whenever I plug in the charger to my Alienware 18 Laptop, the fans seem to get really loud and alternate between going softly, then really loud every second. With the charger in, these are my specs.

Operating System
Windows 8.1 64-bit
CPU
Intel Core i7 @ 2.90GHz 45 °C
Haswell 22nm Technology
RAM
16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 798MHz (11-11-11-28)
Motherboard
Alienware 01W2J2 (U3E1)
Graphics
Generic PnP Monitor (1920x1080@60Hz)
4096MB ATI AMD Radeon R9 M290X (Dell) 56 °C
4096MB ATI AMD Radeon R9 M290X (Dell) 70 °C
CrossFire Disabled
Storage
931GB WD10JPVX-75JC3T (RAID)
10GB SSDMCEAW080A4 m (RAID)
Optical Drives
HL-DT-ST DVDRWBD CA40N
Audio
Realtek High Definition Audio

The one card that is 70 degrees drops to 48 when the charger is not in, and the fan becomes much much quieter, but still alternates between those two volumes.

What should I do about this?

Hello Dblonc!

By any change do you have the support assist install on your system?

If that’s the case uninstall the support assist agent and let know if the fans speed go back to normal.
