Alienware M17X R3 bios password not being requested at startup
I've set the user password and supervisor password in the BIOS but when I boot laptop, the BIOS is not required to enter password. I want to protect my computer as booting. I have upgraded to BIOS version A09, but still not solved. Please help me with this problem.

sounds more like your setting bios password not a boot password .. try going in bios see if it asks for password ... if not you may not have enabled the password after setting it .. i know bios has bios access password which is normal and supervisor and also boot password and hard drive password ( which required before can access hard drive) also gotta make sure after setting to enable it i beleive its a seperate option to enable , been a few months since i played with a dell system :(
