Alienware PC Blue Screen Issue
Hello All.
I received my pc Monday 6th late in the evening, took it out of the box, set it up, connected everything. Then when I tried to watch a youtube video I got a blue screen system rebooted. Didn't think much of it, until today.
Installed a game, and got blue screened, the system rebooted but before it could load the desktop it would bluescreen, this happened around five times before I went into safe mode and removed the drivers and reinstalled them, this allowed me to get back to my desktop in normal mode.
Now this is where I noticed the issue, it only starts to blue screen when I enable SLI, without SLI it runs fine without no problems, with SLI I get the following error :
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.768.3
Locale ID: 2057
Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: 116
BCP1: FFFFFA800A9CF300
BCP2: FFFFF8801085AF10
BCP3: FFFFFFFFC000009A
BCP4: 0000000000000004
OS Version: 6_1_7600
Service Pack: 0_0
Product: 768_1
this pc is only 24 hours old and im pretty sure this should not be happening.
Im currently have 2 x Geforce 480 GTX cards
6 gig ram
intell Icore 7 cpu
I have updated the graphic drivers and tried the Dell ones, also updated bios and still no luck.
Any advice would be great.

another Update :
Followed your instructions step by step, installed drivers, rebooted, went to nvidia control panel, enabled SLI, clicked apply, screen flickered and then blue screened.

Looks like your only option then is to call Dell and have them replace that card since it could be bad and there is no way to check it.
They tried to save a buck by not only reducing the specs of the cards but they removed all the ports on the SLI ones. That would make me return the system if it was mine.

Hello Morblore
I have tried the drivers from the dell website but I get the same issue, as reguards to testing one card at a time I can't becuase the second card has no ports on it to connect a monitor to, im really begining to belive that the second card is faulty.

So now if you purchase a system with SLI or crossfire you get one card with ports and one without?
