Alienware R5 Not Waking Up From Sleep Mode

Question

Hello all. I recently purchased an alienware aurora r5, and it has been working great except it will not wake up from sleep mode by pressing on the mouse nor the keyboard. I have an Acer H236HLBID monitor connected to the GPU via HDMI. The monitor would turn on (No Signal screen) when I move the mouse but the computer itself will not get out of sleep mode.

I have already tried updating the BIOS to the latest version but it didn't solve the issue. I've also tried re-installing the ASMedia USB 3.1 drivers, from https://www.reddit.com/r/Alienware/comments/4ckz82/x51r3_wont_wake_up_and_freezes_randomly/d4za4ma?st=isy4l18r&sh=69044241, without any luck.

Here are some information about my system:

CPU: Intel Core i7 6700k

GPU: GTX 1070

I found the cause to the computer not waking up from sleep mode using USB devices. You need to boot into the BIOS setting and enable 'Allow USB devices to wake up from sleep mode' or something similar. By default, that option is disabled.

Did you find a resolution? My system doesn't wake from sleep with USB devices either. I already have the latest Nvidia drivers.

There are options about selective suspend or something for USB, but I am not sure if I should mess around with those just for being able to wake the machine with the keyboard. I am worried changing that may mess up external hard drives going to sleep.
