AlienWare x51 booting issues!
Hey, so i have a probelm with my alienware x51 (2012 version with gtx 660, windows7 1tb 8gm ram) i have had this x51 for a year and 8 months with no problem but recently for about a week or 2 i have been having boot up issues. If i turn off my pc for a few hours i notice that when i try and turn it on again it would not properly boot, it will try and boot for about 2 secs with a black screen then suddenly turn off and try and boot up again to a constant black screen, i have to keep turning it off and turning it on again till it properly loads. I just ran the diagnostic on the website and it has told me that everything passed, i can play my games properly no frame drops or anything. The pc just runs normally once its booted properly. Also maybe extra info but if i shutdown my pc and open it again after 5 mins or so the boot up issues do not come back so im not really sure what the problem is and would appreciate any help plus my warranty is already expired! One more thing i can hear the windows sound when it asks for the password to login so im thinking its either my graphics card or a cable issue!

By the sound of this, it seems it might be an issue with the Hard Drive.
There's one test that I would like to run. It's called a Pre-Boot System Assessment.
In order to access this, we would have to restart the computer and Tap the F12 key continuously.
There should be an option in the Boot Manager that says: Diagnostics, or Enter ePSA.
Follow that option and the computer will start doing a test through all your hardware components.
If something is truly wrong with the hardware, it will find it.
Otherwise, It might just be a cabling issue.

So i did the ePSA test as well as the thorough test and everything passed including the hard drive. So i go to re-boot my pc and i encounter the same problem as before, i turn it off/on again till it works but this time it goes to this repair thing( not the normal one where it gives you an option to do it or not) this happened after the windows log in thing without any options. It does the repair and i log in into windows normally. The thing that makes me thing this is not a cable issue but a hardware is that whenever i turn on my pc for the first time after turning it off normally is that it would turn on for about 5 secs with a black screen then turn off suddenly and then after about 3 secs it turns on again by itself to a black screen. I am about to go buy a new cable to connect to my monitor and see if that is the issue.

Now that you mentioned it i do remember doing a windows update before this issue started i usually have automatic windows update off so i dont usually have them. I will definitely try and update my bios thank you.
