Alienware x51 lights not working

Recently my lights have stopped working, as far as i know this was not due to an update or something along those lines. My lights will turn white for a second on start up along with the beep but then will lose colour and will not change when changed in command center or tests.

I've been through multiple solutions for slightly different problems with the lights to get them to work again these include re installing drivers and command center and even opening up my case to check if the wires are still connected (which they are). but to no avail and have decided to make my own post in the hope that someone can guide me through fixing them.
