Any way to add more points to the Alienware control center for fan control?

I would like to set up the fans to use a step function rather than increase linearly with cpu temperature, because I notice the fans more as they spin up and down. I can't figure out how to add more points to the fan curves though. There's only one point on the curve right now. Obviously, I don't want to set a completely flat curve where the fans always spin at a constant rate regardless of heat.

MSI afterburner only controls the GPU fan. I tried speedfan but it didn't recognize any of the fans at all.

Any thoughts?

Hi,

Unfortunately there is no way. But you can download and app called HWInfo to control them manually.

Are you sure that works on Aurora R5?  I have downloaded the latest version, but the button to control fans does not show up.  I understand this happens when the program isn't able to control the fans.

I got in touch with the HW info developer- he said alienware desktops are not supported for fan control.

We have used the application in some of our systems. If the application does not work with the Aurora R5 then there is no way to add more points, just what you can do with the Command Center.
