Aurora R2 4 beeps
Hello there , My warranty expired 8 months ago and currently im suffering on a big weird problem
With out a reason my pc stopped working functionally and from now and there it turns off by itself or even after long periods of being off it refuses to turn on and just gives me a signal the 4 beeps from the bios , sources on the internet says that it could be a motherboard timer failure or a bad block on the memory * the first 64k *
My questions are:
if its related to the memory will swiching the ram banks position do anything good?
if its related to the timer motherboard failure what am i supposed to do?
and in the overall if i fail at fixing it by myself how do i get dell to fix my pc , paying obviously
thank you.

Hi SuperCat,
4 Beeps on startup on a Alienware Aurora R2 means a RAM read/write failure. I’d suggest that you follow the steps mentioned below and check for issue resolution.
1. Switch off the computer.
2. Disconnect the AC adapter from the system.
3. Remove the battery from the computer.
4. Press and hold down the power button for 15 seconds.
5. Then connect back all the peripherals and check if you are able to turn on the system.
I would suggest you to remove each memory one at a time on the system and try starting the system again after performing the above steps.
Your troubleshooting indicates there is an issue with the 2nd & 4th slot of the motherboard as it’s not able to read/write Memory. You may have to replace the Motherboard.
Please reply me with the results.

Little update ,, seems like the error was given by the motherboard where if i had any ram plugged in in the 2nd and 4th spot it would generate the error , and at the same if the ram was plugged ONLY in the spots 1 3 the pc would start just fine
Weird ass problem

Hi Supercat,
This article explains the beep code you had.
Checkout the service manual for your system on how to properly install your RAM sticks (go to Manuals and Documentation). If this problem persists, you may have a faulty RAM stick.

Hello im back here ! , first of if you could id like you to make it so cellphones or phones have the ability to post on the forum - cause while my pc was blasted off i was looking for advices but i couldnt write in this box for some reasons.
Secondly ive gotten some new problems but this time is related to the nvidia drivers and the nvlddmkm.sys file
i managed to escape this evil guy by using the dos and deleting him but i lost all my files in the process because a format and rollback to industry thing was not enough
at the current status i cant install any driver from nvidia not old not new not even beta cause the pc just goes in to blue screen mode but i can run just fine w.o drivers in normal mode or safe mode
Any suggestion please o_o?

Hello Milena , first thank you for your reply
secondly i did a rollback to industry on the pc using AlienRespawn- does this count as a format o_O?
Also if proceed with a complete format and the problem persist what can i do?
