Aurora R3 regarding SSD 6Gb/s or 3Gb/s
i just bought Aurora R3 month ago, am planning to install a SSD
so am confused does it support only 3Gb/s ??? or 6Gb/s??? does it make any difference using SSD ??
currently i have "500GB SATA 3Gb/s (7,200 RPM) Solid State Hybrid" and currently WEI is 5.9
i was looking at "Kingston HyperX SSD" http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820139601
and how much performance gain i can expect
in description it says:
-
- Max Sequential Read
- Up to 550MB/s (SATA 6Gb/s)
-
- Max Sequential Write
- Up to 510MB/s (SATA 6Gb/s)

Cables 1 and 2 are SATA3, the others are SATA2. It took a while to figure out since there is no documentation on it, but people here helped me out when installing an SSD.

Intel P67 Chipset natively supports SATA 6Gbps. So it should be 6G, unless Dell screwed something up again
