Aurora R4: GTX 590 ... is SLI possible?
Is this system capable of using the GTX 590, with two cards with SLI?
The power supply is listed as 875W, and I don't know if that's sufficient for two cards.
Dell does not offer two 590 in SLI for a new purchase.
No power supply upgrade options are available for a new purchase.

Operating a Quad SLI GTX 590 system requires a power supply that has four 8-pin PCI-Express supplementary power connectors, each of which must receive 150 watts. Because of the complexity of designing, building and ensuring that the power supply meets these necessary requirements, NVIDIA works directly with power supply manufacturers to certify their products for Quad SLI use. The list of power supplies certified for use with a Quad SLI GTX 590 configuration is as follows:

Dell's power supply may be more robust than a 3rd party PSU, but 875W still seems "iffy" for usability.

You will not be able to keep the 590's cool in the R4 regardless of the power requirements.

Yes. 875 cant even handle my xfire 7970, at least. 1000 watt is what we need

How do you guys change the PSU in the Aurora R4?
Currently I have an Aurora R4 with GTX 590 and the stock 875W PSU.
I'm not planning to use multi-monitor so SLI is not in my consideration.
However, I want to swap my GTX 590 for a GTX 680.
Is it possible and will the current 875W PSU able to handle the GTX 680?
My specs:
i7-3930K 3.9GHz
2x2GB 1600MHz DDR3 rams
1TB SATA HDD
The rest are also standard such as the X79 mobo and water cooling.
