Can Alienware laptops be upgraded years later?

I mean, this question must have been asked hundreds of times but I still couldnt find a satisfactory answer by searching

So if I buy Alienware 15 Laptop now, and then years from now when better and newer parts come out

would I be able to upgrade that same Laptop by exchanging those parts? Like graphic cards and RAM for example? I mean the best option now is Geforce GTX 980M but something better will comeout some time later, right? (Or my graphic card could wear out quickly from overheating)

-This is while assuming that I request for DELL premium support for their technician to do that parts-replacing job-

Im asking this because Ive been hearing that Alienware Laptops are DIFFERENT from other laptops where those parts are integrated into the motherboard and thus wont be upgradeable.

Is that right? I cannot and will not believe that until I have that concrete statement from someone

On some Alienware laptops, you could upgrade the ram, GPU, CPU. On some you could not. Depended on the motherboard or bios limitations. But we cannot know the future and know what hardware may or may not come out. Dell does not offer an "upgrade" service. That is all on the user. You should read through the Alienware 15 Service Manual to get an idea about how to disassemble and reassemble the components.
