Command Center 3.6 doesn't work in Windows 8.1?
Brothers, Just got myself an Alienware 14 (mid 2013 model) that came pre-installed with windows 8. So went ahead and upgraded it to Windows 8.1. Downloaded and installed all the 8.1 drivers. Everything was good - except for Command Center 3.6 which just wouldn't install no matter what i did. So as a last try, installed Command Center 3.5 (Windows 8 vr) and it worked. Is this a common problem? So CC 3.6 doesn't work in Windows 8.1?

Remember that desktop and laptop versions of CC are different.
This page says your machine needs CC Ver. 3.0.29.0 and looks like you might need .Net 4.5 installed first.
