Fan speed continuously at maximum speed and velocity
We have three auroras. All purchased in 2010. All almost identical.
Two of the computers have fans that normally are on low speed and very quiet. When working hard the fan speed increases as expected and then slows back down as the load decreases.
On the third computer the fan speed is always at maximum. It was from the day we took it out of the box.
All three computers have the same fan settings and all are on automatic.
the one computer with the high fan speed will slow down if we set it slower manually. But we don´t do that because we are afraid of overheat when it really does need the high fan speed.
Everyone here has double checked that the settings are the same on all three computers. And they seem to be unless there is something we are missing.

Is it just one fan on the one Aurora? .. maybe a bad sensor? Do temps read the same as the good machines? Do you have the same version of Command Center loaded on all 3?

Those are all good suggestions.
I found the problem today. Everyone was looking for a way to adjust the fans in the automatic mode. today I used the fancy speed temperature graph to change the fan speeds. I found out by accident that when I switched back to automatic the manual settings stayed with automatic. so I set them all to a steep curve with temperature rise and all seems well.
Thank you

If needed, can you go back to Automatic and reset to factory defaults?
