Graphics card / Hardware upgrade recommendations
At the beginning of 2010 I bought an Alienware Aurora PC. Nearly 5 years on and I haven't upgraded it. I was wondering if people can give me some advice on which new graphics cards would be good to get (and if they would work on this machine). Any other recommended upgrades would be appreciated too.
Processor :Intel Core i7 Processor 950(3.06GHz,4.8GT/s,8MB)
Memory : 6GB (3x2GB)1066MHz Tri Channel
Hard Drive : 640 GB Serial ATA non Raid (7200 Rpm)
Graphics : Dual SLI 1GB nVidia GeForce GTS 240 graphics card.
Many thanks, in advance for your advice.

I think it's the Aurora R1 but I'm not totally sure. The model is D00AWA01.
My service tag (if that helps) is (Removed by privacy policy)
Thanks.

Thanks a lot for providing this list.
Just two other things that I'd be grateful for a response:
1. How can be totally sure my Alienware Aurora is the R1 model?
2. My PSU is 525w. Does that need changing to be able to use the graphics cards listed above?
Thanks a lot.

In order to check the system model you can go into system information in the control panel and see if the model is listed there, as well you can go to the Bios and in the main tab you might find the system model.
On regards to the power supply you will be able to run any of the video cards I mention before and the only ones that might the 875w is the GeForce GTX590 and the AMD Radeon HD6990 in dual configuration.
