My alienware stopped working
Hello , I have an alienware x51 r2 and one time it suddenly stoped working everytime i power up it just starts for a few second makes a "beep sound" and then turns off . I followed your instruction on clearing the CMOS jumper and it worked for a few minutes and then turned off and returned to where it started. Is there another way to fix it ?

Hi,
One beep will be related to a possible motherboard failure - BIOS ROM checksum failure. You can try a power drain: disconnect system from the power and hold the power button for around a minute. Then you can try the CMOS reset one more time and finally, plug the system back to the power and turn the system on.
You can also try turning the system on without the video card, if the system turns on, then the issue could be the video card.
If the issue persists after this, then the motherboard should be replaced.
