My computer keeps crashing..

I don't understand, i use my computer for a few minutes and as soon as i run a more intense program like games, it crashes. Sometimes, it asks me to 'Start Windows Normally' and other times it says the ''internal hard drive cannot be found, Strike F1 to retry''. It cant be overheating so i'm pretty stumped, any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Actually, overheating is a common cause of the crashes you're experiencing. Have you checked the CPU and GPU temperatures? If you haven't, I recommend you download and install HWmonitor to check the temperatures on idle and stress (for example, running intense applications like games).

Also, make sure your systems has the latest BIOS and video drivers. Run an ePSA diagnostic and AlienAutopsy test to check for hardware errors.

Let me know how it goes!

Hey, thank you for replying. I just ran an ePSA test and the results came back clean, i dont think there is a problem there. However, it still continues to crash. Lately it has only been crashing  a few minutes after start up when i run an intense program and then is fine for the rest of the day. However, today it has continued to crash so i assume it may be getting worse. Could it be my PSU? How can i find out? Thanks
