Network Problems? Upload Speeds low, even when wired?

Hi,

I recently upgraded my router to a Verizon router to have a 75/75 connection.

However, even when wired, my upload speed reaches a max of 10. However, when using other laptops, their speeds reach up to 40 or nearly 50.

These are my specs.

Operating System
Windows 8.1 64-bit
CPU
Intel Core i7 @ 2.90GHz 45 °C
Haswell 22nm Technology
RAM
16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 798MHz (11-11-11-28)
Motherboard
Alienware 01W2J2 (U3E1)
Graphics
Generic PnP Monitor (1920x1080@60Hz)
4096MB ATI AMD Radeon R9 M290X (Dell) 56 °C
4096MB ATI AMD Radeon R9 M290X (Dell) 70 °C
CrossFire Disabled
Storage
931GB WD10JPVX-75JC3T (RAID)
10GB SSDMCEAW080A4 m (RAID)
Optical Drives
HL-DT-ST DVDRWBD CA40N

What is wrong?

What Alienware do you have?

Some Broadcom drivers have a weird "green" setting that holds speed to 10. Check your driver settings (or clean-install a better one). Also, use Cat-5e cables or better and all ports should be 10/100 or gigabit.

Wow, I'm sorry I didn't say it.

Alienware 18.

Will test out your theory now.
