New alien ware desktop x51
Bought this super amazing, fantastic, 1500$ new alienware computer! Got the monitor, keyboard, etc from alienware/dell! Got the entire works today, and went to set it up. I bought the recommended monitor for this computer, but I did not have an hdmi cord to hook them up. So I called tech support, and they let me know that I have to go buy the cord, the recommended monitor for the x51 series does not come with the hdmi cord. Not knowing much about computers, I went to a computer shop and paid 28$ for a new HDMI cord because the monitor and computer dont come with the compatible cords

Hi sammmy102,
By default only the VGA/DVI cables are shipped with the computer or with the monitor. HDMi cable has to be purchased separately. May I know the model number of the monitor?

Few -if any- peripherals come with cables these days, especially when it's HDMI, DisplayPort. etc.

the part number is r0kgp, and I called tech support and they told me the same thing. I am still complaining because I paid the extra money to get this large monitor because i wanted a nice smooth computer set up not fighting with the cords. With it being recommended monitor for this monitor you would really expect it to come with the HDMI, its the monitor for this model computer
