PLEASE HELP, 2ND ALIENWARE PC BACK TO BACK ISSUES!!

Hello all, I have been a Dell customer for over 6 years now and love the flexibility of Dell products.  I have always coveted the Alienware line.  My first purchase was about 2 months ago when I ordered a m18x R2, shortly after receiving it, I noticed a slight bump of the attached hdmi cord to the notebook would cause the attached external monitor to either go black or go green.  Go figure.  Anyways..... onto actual game play, loaded SC2, got artifacts....bad.  So I returned it, it was a beast anyways 21 pounds with power brick.

THIS IS MY CURRENT ISSUE:

I ordered a Aurora with the 7870 single card 16GB ram 1600mhz and Factory OCed CPU at 4.1 GHZ, problem now is whenever I initiate a software "restart"  it shuts down fine but on the bootup it briefly flashes the Alienware logo and then proceeds to go to a black screen with no cursor, nothing.  The CPU pump turbine does wind up, there is no windows startup sound either.  I can't do anything to restart it such as ctl alt del or anything like that.  I called tech and they also had me relocate the actual video card in the case to the lower position PCI-E slot and that didn't fix anything either.  Only thing I can do is to physically power the PC down then power it back up, then and only then will it load windows and the world is safe.  Tech is advising to either return the PC for another, they'll send a tech out with memory, hdd, video card, and MOBO.  We've already uninstalled and reinstalled the GPU driver, nothing.  When trying to do a system restore it just hangs on the restore.  Any feedback will be appreciated.  Thx!

Write down BIOS settings and have tech support help you remove OverClock settings (return all parts to stock clocks).

Are you trying to use HDMI? Instead, connect monitor to port DVI-1. See if problem goes away.

Hello, thx for the response, yes I am using a dual monitor setup with the HDMI converted to DVI signal to one monitor and the other monitor to the DVI converted to another DVI type, Yes, I have the factory CPU OC'ed in the bios to 4.2GHZ.  Will try disabling the OC and running strictly DVI output, If this is the case, I will have to send the PC back because it is supposed to support dual monitors and factory CPU OCing.

You can turn the OC back on after you get the monitors working. Maybe even not try removing OC ... it's just a common trouble-shooting step.

Yes, try connecting monitors on native ports and get rid of the converters. First try one via DVI cable on DVI-1 and see if you can get normal operation. Then, try adding the other.
